Craniosacral TherapyWhat is Craniosacral Therapy?Craniosacral Therapy, developed by osteopathic physician John Upledger, is a very gentle but powerful hands-on approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life by encouraging your own natural healing abilities. Craniosacral Therapy (CST) releases tensions held deep in the body allowing the body to relax and self-correct. This self-correction results in decreased pain and dysfunction and improved health and resistance to disease.
What conditions does CST address?
What Can I Expect From a Session?A typical CST session takes place in a quiet setting. You remain fully clothed as you relax on a comfortable massage table. The therapist will begin the session by gently touching various parts of your body to monitor and evaluate the rhythm of fluid that is flowing around the nervous system. Very gentle hands-on techniques are then used to release the problem areas. The pressure used is generally no more than 5 grams or the weight of a nickel. A session usually lasts an hour or so and can be used alone or integrated with other therapies. During the treatment people often feel a general sense of relaxation (in fact many people fall asleep early in the treatment). Some people also feel heat, cold or a stretching or pulsing of tissues in a particular part of the body. For more information call me or visit the website of
